What is to come here.
[featuring accounts of the ladies who affected my life--most women I know have affected my life, some won't be told, a few on purpose, some I don't remember]
Remember, I am a Christian. God keeps track of me. I'm not nearly perfect, and sometimes slipping away from Jesus' sight might seem desirable. Well, I tried, but he doesn't leave me. Seems as though The Holy Spirit keeps straightening me out too. [Scripture for these will come, not today, I have work and other things to do now.]
So it will be a two part writing, maybe integrated into one.
One part will be these ladies' influence on my Christian walk.
The other part will be historical and how they affected me in general.
Like I said previously, some will be several posts.
I have a couple of memoirs to write, this will be the start for one. There will be some things in those memoirs that won't be said here.
Here goes: [not even spell checked right now, I have things to do]
I. Mom (probably several posts here, she was the first woman I knew)
.
II. Aunts and Grandmothers.
.
III. Sister Lois. Really a basket case here, but she is nice
.
IV. Lola. Not her real name. A little girl I met in the first grade. She tried to teach me the facts of life.
.
V. Miscellaneous girls at the University of Nebraska and at the watch factory.
.
VI. Erma. My first girl friend. She couldn't teach me the facts of life either. Maybe it was that she wouldn't.
.
VII. Two Barbaras, and a sister. Sister tried, but didn't make it with the facts of life.
.
VII. Donna. She taught me the facts of life.
.
VIII. Another Erma. She would have liked to teach me, even marry me. I ran.
.
IX. First Wife. Who taught who here? All is well, we were married. Things went to pot, we divorced four kids and thirteen years later. Also had a mother-in-law, of course. She like me through it all. Where the married friends went after our split?
.
X. My Vespa motorscooter. A hint of things to come.
.
XI. My Honda motorcycle. Jimmie goes wild again!
.
XII. Susie. She is Jim Jr.#3. We did a lot of things, even when we were separated in residence. See her blog, Susie's Music. She could use some more encouragement.
.
XII. Three years of happiness being single. Very little dating here and there. 'I was in hiding.'
Some memories:
a. Mrs. Freelove (and friend). What a name! But it wasn't descriptive.
b. Unnamed # 1. Not sure what to say, probably won't say much. O.S.K.
c. Unnamed # 2. [what goes around comes around--no hanky panky about it though--off to war again here]
.
XIII. Mrs. Jim. 33 years of married happiness. The biggie part of my life! She found me 'in hiding' and stole my heart for keeps. She had better watch it though, if she tries for my kidneys or liver!
.
XIV. GC#2 -- A grownup girl now, a Junior at the University of Texas in Austin
.
XV. GC#3 -- Graduated from high school, now what?
.
XVI. Karen. Jim Jr#5. You know her by her blog, Karen's Happiness.
.
XVII. Adi. You know her. And. And the begging of this one. There are a lot more. Enter 'Adi' into the SEARCH THIS BLOG box at the top of Jim's Little Blog, then enter. Browse to your hearts content. Today I came up with 30 posts mentioning her. I'm sure there will be more soon.
.
XVIII. GC#4. She came into the family when Karen and Billy got married. Much earlier she had come into our hearts. See January 20, 2006 posting. Please note she is wearing a Go Big Red Nebraska cheerleader outfit. The University of Nebraska is her favorite college right now. I'm not sure what would happen if she were to have snow before Thanksgiving. Son Mike had that happen, he quit school and came back to Texas.
.
XIX. Many Blogger friends, Sunday school class members, and social life buds.
My actions and feelings are tempered to an extent into the shell that people, especially the ladies, expect me to have. Nevertheless I am still my own person when I really want to be.
Prologue: Only I know the real me, me and Jesus. And I'm not too sure about me sometimes.
